What you can expect day-to-day:

As an Associate Director you will be responsible for quality, timely delivery and financial performance of projects you are leading, regarding strategy, methods, and client management. You will lead your team in discussions with clients and effectively manage client relationships. You will identify opportunities for future business and to present capabilities for services in order to secure new business. Some travel may be required for project management and/or business development.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • With support from a Director, leads and manages project teams and resources in the execution of research projects, including initiating projects, assigning tasks, overseeing execution, performing quality review, and leading client communications
  • Designs research studies intended to address health economic, outcomes research and health policy questions using a range of potential technical approaches
  • Advises on study protocols, statistical analysis or other project implementation plans in collaboration with a research team to address research questions and objectives
  • Identifies and advises on appropriate data including from literature, databases, interviews and/or surveys using scientifically valid methods
  • Advises quality assurance and quality control procedures on own and others’ programs
  • Advises on written technical reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and presentations
  • Assists with the generation of repeat business from existing customers and the pursuit of new business opportunities with potential customers that leverage the specific expertise of PX
  • Increases brand awareness of ESGC and PX within health economics and outcomes research

Qualifications:
Minimum Required:

  • Master’s degree in a discipline related to health services research; economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health, with a minimum 5 years of relevant research experience

Other Required:

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Deep understanding of the application of health economic methods (e.g modeling, observational research, statistical programming), the HTA process, and the pharmaceutical industry
  • Leadership experience within a consulting organization
  • Experience leading a team of health economics and outcomes research scientists to industry excellence
